The Peer to Patent Proposal

I listened to a podcast from ITConversations (my current favorite podcast) today with Beth Noveck, about her Peer to Patent proposal. This was awesome.

Her proposal is not to completely redo the system, or to chuck it altogether, but to use peer review and make things far more like typical scientific review systems. It's relatively simple, and just a great idea. If you're at all influenced by, work with, or affected by patents, or you just work in the software or other tech industries, you should give this a listen or read.
